I did your monitor mix at the Performing Arts Center. Awesome show last night (3-9-13) in Blackfoot, Idaho. Incredible drumming and all around good showmanship. You, Marc, and Michael rocked hard and I won't forget your performance.
Good luck with all of your efforts.

Dear Mr Mclean, I'm sorry to be so blunt, but I had never heard of you before last week (November 8, 2010). Then again I had never heard of Andreas Oberg, nor Marian Petrescu, nor David Fink, so my ignorance means you are in good company. Then I clicked on the link on YouTube and discovered this INCREDIBLE quartet playing Oscar Peterson's 'Cakewalk(. And was overwhelmed by the obvious joy you all had playing together - which communicated itself to this viewer / listener. There are 000's of good drummers in the world, but sometimes a symbiosis with the other musicians radiates from one, and you happen to be that one. Not since the fabulous Art Blakey have I seen such enthusiasm with the sticks and brushes. A pleasure to behold. Thanks

Hi Mark. We do watch Dancing with the Stars and we saw the show last night, May 5. You get about 5 minutes in the limelight, don't you, but it would be fascinating to be on the scene of that show. I hope you got to see much of it in person. The dancers are quite incredible. I'd never heard of Jamie Cullum before, so it was interesting to see you-all in action. My piano teachers would not have approved of stepping on the keyboard, but the high jump off the piano was right in tune with the event.
It would be interesting to know if this year's Dancing show has now brought the Country crowd and the Hip Hop crowd into the world of ballroom dancing. Who would have thought that would happen?
Nice to see you doing well, Mark. Best wishes. . . Jim & Karen

Finally, things are settling into place. Now if I can just get rid of this itch to move far away and start all over again....
Anyway, keep working on coming to Minneapolis...we really do have a hot live music scene here. I think you would like it! And I could take you to all my favorite places (NOT the mall of america).

I saw you perform with Peter Cincotti in Birmingham, AL back in November. I LOVED your drum solo! It was phenomenal evidence that you are the best drummer in the world! The four of you in Peter's band are so special, and the extraordinary music you collectively and individually output is more than a testament to it. I also happened to
catch you guys when you were opening for Ray Charles (a re-broadcast on T.V.) at the Montreal Jazz Festival in 2003. Every
song is so captivating, especially the collaboration in "Sway". During
that song, each one of you guys seemed to be in your own little
world, but at the same time, you were each so "in tune" with the music that it blowed my mind. Thank you to all four of you for giving me my motto: "Always be swayingly Cincottic."

Too bad I couldn't ask you more about it at Sunami... I'm glad I came across this site! You have a sweet collection of memories here that I'm certain you look back upon with affection and humor. Hi Mark. Your performance at the Zellerbach Hall in Berkeley was amazing. I came to see Peter Cincotti, who was wonderful, but I felt that you stole the show. Your energy was great and honestly, I did not know about you until the performance on April 30. Your drumming style, energy, and even your facial expressions while playing was breathtaking. Your enthusiasm and passion just reached out to the audience, and especially to me. I sat in the 4th row and I cheered for you during your solo performance in Sway. The whole band had great chemistry. Also, your work with Molly Johnson is beautiful. By the way, you are quite a handsome man. All the best, Jennifer.

my husband and i had the pleasure of experiencing your preformance at the royce in grand rapids michigan on tuesday nite. what a wonderful show! my husband and i were able to speak to you for a breif minute while waiting for a table for breakfast down stairs at the amway hotel, i just wanted to thank you for speaking to us on your private time, it was very kind of you to share with us a little pick of you as yourself, it was so refreshing to see what a very polite young man you are.(we see how talented all you, mr. cincotti, mr.mori, and mr.kreitzer are through your wonderful music, but to talk to you as people (not preformers) was a delight. i play peter cincotti, frank sanatra, chris broti, dean martin , tony bennet all the time thats the music in our house so the children are hearing the sound and growing up to love it and appreciate it as much as i do. I told my 4 year old son (who loves to imiitate mr. cincotti on his toy piano), that i was able to talk to you, and that you were as kind as you are talented, and that your mommy must be very proud of her son. thank you again- and my best wishes to you and mr. cincotti, and the band. good luck and god bless through your wonderful adventures that lie ahead of you! tina cosgrove

Mark-- I have not had the privilege of seeing you perform or Peter or Elvin Jones for that matter, while we are naming names (it would be tough to see Elvin these days). Anyway, the only privilege I did have was waiting on your table at Dizzy's Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center a few nights ago, and wowing you with my great service and plethora of smiles....ok, so maybe not. But all this to say that I wouldn't mind seeing you perform someday, and it's nice to see motivated, talented people my age enjoy great success.....and not be so full of themselves that they can't acknowledge their waitress and even give them a smile. Keep being real. - Sara

Hi, I saw you at a concert of Peter Cincotti's when you were the drummer. I must say you are AMAZING! I was looking at the pictures and I noticed some of them were with Barak Mori. I think he is amazing also (I play bass so that's probably why I like him so much!). Well I've met him at the Peter Cincotti conert, but I haven't met you....hmmm I'll be going to more concert's of Peter Cincotti. I hope to meet you also! You are one EXCELLENT DRUMMER!!!

Saw you tonight at Barnes and Nobles for the new release show, it was great! You guys impress me everytime I see a show. Please let me know if there are any other shows that are put on for the public in the NYC area, I am a college student trying to get other younger people to hear this kind of music! You guys should play at my school!

I have been to 4 concerts of Peter Cincotti. While you haven't played at all of them when you do play, you add so much. I love your work with the rest of the band. You all seem to really enjoy putting on a show. I hope you get as much enjoyment out of performing as I get from seeing you! Thank you for your continued commitment to your fans.

Hi, Mark, you're an absolutely fantastic drummer. This website is fabulous. It looks great and the captions in the photo galleries are hysterical! It puts a human side to the professional I see on stage. Thanks for putting the effort into this.

Mark, I've enjoyed your drumming with Peter Cincotti's band. Saw you perform with him at Battery Park City and at Alice Tully Hall. Also love what you did with Peter on Sway during the Montreux Jazz Fest - I have that CD/DVD and play that track all the time. Great music. I assume you're on his new album? Heard some interesting rhythms on I Love Paris - David Kenney played it on his radio program last night. And I love your photo gallery here - great photography and funny captions! I wish you great success. Hope to hear more from you in the future.

This is a slick site for a slick drumstick-wielder. Mark makes percussion poetic. From ticklin the snare to bangin the bass, his command of the set draws the jazzified as the piper drew the children (and the mice). One ought not miss this prodigy of percussion.
Perspire on, Mista McLean, perspire on.
